We've only done a split trip once, we did 5 and 4 and honestly didn't like it. We were partied out from TTR when we arrived at Desire and we felt like we were there such a short time and hated to leave. Every other trip to Desire was just a trip to Desire and we found that we had a way better time. We've done trips to just Desire ranging from 7 to 10 nights and loved it.

Hi all, Looking to be our first time to Desire Resort. Been to TTR 6 times. Which Desire's resort would people suggest (Pearl or RM)?

DRM is better than Pearl in our opinion. Pearl was extremely laid back and DRM is a little more to the party scene. They are both better than TTR though. We have also been to the nude resort in Tulum. (Avoid! 80 year olds playing nude shuffle board). In the Cancun area, go to DRM. If you want to get Desire plus TTR, the best is Hedo!

We are doing a split trip in November. 7 nights at Temptation and then 4 nights at Desire RM. We have stayed at Pearl once during the Temptation Renovation but have never tried RM. This will be our first spit trip. We will be at both for a full weekend so hopefully it turns out to be a good time. We will let you know.

We are doing 3 at TTR and 5 at RM. In the past we were doing 5 TTR then Desire as a wind down. However after last trip were down to pretty much only going TTR for the Boobs Cruise. RM isn’t as big as a party TTR or a posh but it is closer to the vib TTR had a few years back. Oh and they don’t have all the like paying for a table at Bash.

Agreed about the paying for tables. But during the last trip to DRM, sometimes one of the tables at the nightclub has been "reserved". Our fear is when the expansion is done there will be more "pay for special treatment". The expansion is geared to "high roller rooms", so those guests may be expecting to get special treatment for $$.

Anyway, we are heading to Cancun in June (19th-30th) for a split trip. Four nights at TTR (June Junkies!) and then seven at DRM. We stayed six at DRM and then went to TTR for four four our last trip, so we are switching it around this trip. For a short trip, week long or less, we'd pick one and stay there. Packing and moving is not fun.

We usual end up with 3 suitcases. We pack 1 for TTR one for Desire and 1 for stuff that is used at both places. That way at least on stays packed at each place. Forgot to mention that is her stuff mine gets put in a carry out a plastic bag from Home Depot.
