FYI, for anyone that had plans to go to the July or Sept Desire week at Temptation, they have been canceled. Now, I will have to see how they handle the reservation that I already had for the July week.
When we were there a time share person slipped up and said IF we are here next year, she quickly says oh and changed the subject. It was a big IF. The hotel going next door is huge really huge. Maybe there is some concern about the future of this resort, not sure..
have reservations Can you please tell me how you found this out? We have reservations for what was supposed to be "Desire Week" July 2 -7. Since reading your message I have attempted to contact several different people by e-mail and live help chat. I'm getting nowhere! No one has bothered to contact me. What was supposed to happen-we just get there expecting Desire and find out it's not a Desire Week.
I first found out from the website Dennyp.com. I then used the live help on the Temptation website & they confirmed it. I have not been officially contacted by the resort yet. Also, if you look at the Temptation website, it is no longer listed under special events or Desire weeks.
I finally got this e-mail response today after many inquiries. I have not contacted them yet, but I will be expecting a full refund of my deposit. "Please be informed that due to marketing strategies the hotel management has decided to cancel the Desire Weeks due to marketing strategies, so the Desire weeks Jul 02 to 06 and September 03 to 08, 2009 are cancelled. If you have any confirmed booking please report it to the reservations department immediately, you will be contacted by the hotel guest services manager to offer you several options to accommodate your clients. The only Desire week that the hotel will hold is May 20 to 25, 2009.
