Good evening everyone! We are finally planning a trip to Desire early next year for spring break, and would like your input for what the better option is for us. We're in our mid 30's and want to relax, but also kind of party hehe.. We are indecisive whether to pick RM or Pearl since we have never been to either of them. We went to Temptations once a few years ago and had a blast. Trying to match the experience and take it up a notch. So...???? C & S
We go to all 3 resorts and love the party at Temptation. When it was closed for renovation we partied at RM am d relaxed at Pearl. Normally we party at TTR for 7 nights and go to Desire Pearl to relax before going home. Would recommend Desire Riviera Maya. If you are going for a week or more you could split your trip and end at Pearl. The two resorts are only 20 mins apart by taxi.
Haven't been to Pearl yet, hearing mixed opinions on it, most say its really quiet.. boring, however like anywhere, it is what you make it. We will likely try it at some point in the future. Have been to TTR 10+ times and our 3rd trip to RM is coming up at the end of November. Lots of people love splitting their trips but we don't. We are going to RM for 9 nights, we like going to the one resort and enjoying it fully without have to pack up after a few days and unpack again.
So..... we have only been to Pearl once and are heading back in March where we hope to pick up where we left off. We are a little older but wife loved the dancing and the freedom we found at Pearl. Temptations years ago was off-putting with all the single guys and held us back. Pearl was rocking some nights, a little quiet others, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. I think it's all in the crowd but we actually liked that we could have quiet time during the day when we wanted as there was room to spread out.
Our vote is Desire RM. Our experience is younger crowd and disco/events/themes are always well attended. Ohmcouple: we are also like you and find that RM gives us the opportunity to chill as well as have a great night of partying.
Ohmcouple You will have a great time at either one. There are people that are loyal to each resort. Depends on the crowd that is there when you go. In March, both resort will be close to full. Great time of year to go. Pearl pool and Jacuzzi are bigger. Pearls rooms are bigger. RM food is better. RM is bigger, so there will be more people. Can’t go wrong with either one.
