While I'm a fan of the "split-trip" concept, usually... I think that DRM would actually "fit" what it is that you're after a bit better than TTR. Just my opinion, but if you want to be chilled-out during the day, you can do that... ro can start to spice things up a bit if you choose by merely changing location. At TTR, if you're in/around the Sexy Pool, it's balls to the wall all day until everyone gives it up for the day, typically hammered and needs a nap or "snap." DRM can be more 30 mph... or 55 mph most of the day, with a burst of 90 near the end, then back down to 50 mph around/in the hot tub at night.
We try split-trip for first time April for many same reasons mentioned with recent TTR comments. My favorite things need for trip are sexy costumes at dance party, topless beach/pool, elegant/sexy dress for evening, dancing (I like watch my husband!), people watch plus casual meet new friends if people understand my heavy accent …we hope DRM will be more fitting with age. We thought TTR was greatest ever and we still enjoy but time to experience new as life changes.
Would be great to hear how the trip went. We have been to temptations twice and are thinking about doing a split trip to Desire. We’re not in the lifestyle but love the atmosphere and would love to see how we feel about going nude and using the red room and jacuzzi. Always love putting on balcony shows at temptations so this seems like a logical next step.
After several trips to TTR we are going to DRM for a week in early March. Dipping our toes in the sand. Getting away from the bachelor parties, instagram addicts, and cameras at TTR. I'll post a trip report here. We are not LS either so we'll see how this goes.
Review - As promised, sorry if it's long: Check-in. Quick and easy. No payment/credit card required. First time visitors will have yellow wrist bands and are known as, jokingly, “fresh meat”. The “concierge’ will show you around and attempt to set up a meeting. A polite but firm no ended that. Rooms are not available until 3 pm. We arrived at 08:30 am and were given wristbands and set free. Room. We had a garden view deluxe. It was much nicer than anticipated. I was expecting a Motel 6 feel, but not at all. It was larger than expected but we were informed that most rooms are different from each other. (that said…we have stayed at a lot of resorts in Cancun over the last decade and this was the simplest). It did have a great mirror by the bed. No double sink (one was shown in the plan). TV has several adult channels, some better than others. The bathroom fixtures/plumbing were outdated. The wiring/voltage was suspect and Kay had to find the right plug in to use her curling iron/dryer. There were several power outages. Beach. It has eroded quite a bit since we were staying at Breathless in 2018. There are now some exposed rocks. It is still much better than TTR. You can walk north quite far and south for about a half mile. G-string bikinis were not seen at other resorts. Baffles keep the floating sargassum at a minimum. Some shocked/curious beach walkers were present but rare. Not much goes on at the beach, maybe some volleyball. Pool Vibe. Things start much mellower than at TTR. The pool is the center of daytime activity. The playmakers have games, but only a couple times a day. The music volume is usually low enough to talk with others or nap. There were a couple livelier parties. The foam party lasted less than an hour. Drink service is excellent. Rooftop Hot Tub/Bar/Beds Vibe. starts getting busy around 430 pm but is empty by 7 pm. It again gets busy after 11 pm until about 3 am. The hot tub is small and gets full of naked persons. That said … there was never an accidental “bump” or “brush” from a stray penis. There is occasional open sex on the beds and none are very private. Show/entertainment. There is a short show every night, about the same as other resorts, maybe 20 minutes to a half hour. There are also live bands every night. Some are better than others. We liked this part. Disco. Inside, above the lobby. Smaller dance floor that is packed from 1030 pm until around 1 am when it starts to empty. People will then head to the rooftop hot tub, the outside bar, or their rooms. The music selection is much better than TTR and each night has a theme. The DJs still play all of the standard resort party songs every night. The drinks there are good and the bartenders work hard. It closes down between 2 and 3 am, but they will stay until all guests are gone. Themes Parties. Most women participate or wear lingerie. Underwear or pasties not required. Clothing Optional. Yes, majority are naked, probably more men totally naked than women were. Some people choose to be naked only in the water or drunk (us). The uneasiness was gone after a couple of days. Some women kept their tops on but only a few. Most don’t care but being clothed can be more awkward. Phones/Cameras. Didn’t see any cameras, but phones were common and that surprised us. A sneaky person would have been able to take pictures while pretending to text or make a phone call. A Few were taking pictures, but not around the pool or hot tub. They were careful not to have anyone else in the background. PDAs. Yes, sex happens, but usually only in certain places and not all of the time. Not around the pool, but definitely in the beds around the hot tub. It is also present on the beach. After being exposed to it a few times it’s no big deal. More common behavior includes making out and breast caressing. Sin Room. Went in there once during the disco with the intent to do something and the sounds ruined the mood. It’s small no separate beds. Looked like fun, but not our fun (yet). Not knocking it, just didn’t find it sexy for us. Has potential though. Food. On-par with most resorts. Only two restaurants and a buffet so the choices are limited. Found the quality similar to TTR, maybe a bit better. The all-night bar serves pizza, BLT’s, etc to the after-party crowd. Alcohol. Similar to TTR and other resorts. Lifestyle. Defiantly more than the way TTR is now. The men are super respectful. A lady is more apt to grope a boob will usually ask first. Only one instance of some guy not playing by the rules: Kay and her friend were dancing while I was watching from a distance with the other husband and one guy came up and would not stop talking to them closely then another dude started to caress her shoulders. We ended that quickly. Some guys think that girls dancing together is an open invitation. She had plenty of other dances with girls and nothing else happened. Guests. Best ever. The most respectful and approachable people we have ever met. Swingers, Swayers, or vanilla all got together and had fun. I would never leave Kay alone for a few minutes at TTR, here it wasn’t a problem and she felt comfortable. No single creepers or bachelor parties. Average age was 35-65 Message me with any other questions.
Any more first timer reviews? Looking for more romance and relaxation. Wife shooting down going back to TTR right now. We have been twice.. I love it but the crowd last trip wasn't great. Too many bros, and the music is just BAD. We will go back next year but need a short break from that party. Shes wanting somewhere more romantic and less in your face loud/raunchy non stop. Shes probably topless less than an hour a day at TTR because she gets creeped out, but doesn't mind nudity at all. She actually liked being topless at the quiet pool more than the sexy pool (zero creeper bros over there) Anyway, just looking for more honest reviews. We are not LS, don't mind it at all though.
You are describing the Desire experience… give it a shot. RM/pearl/grand is an excellent compromise. No bros and can be exactly what you make of it.
