July 1987...I was 11 years old and inbetween 5th and 6th grades. I was likely swimming in our pool that was in our backyard...griping because my aunt and uncle wouldn't allow very many people to come swim, they were afraid someone would sue them if they got hurt. An in-ground pool was a blessing and a curse all in one.

I was likely watching these movies then:
Dirty Dancing, Full Metal Jacket, The Lost Boys, Spaceballs, Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2, Adventures in Babysitting (hey I was 11), Nighmare on Elm Street 1,2,3.

    Music...I dare not share.

A show NOT TO BE MISSED! Sponsored by the Mashantucket Pequot Indians (Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino Resorts), this GRUCCI Fireworks show is on the Thames River. Rumors are that the cost of this display is well into the 7 figures $$$ !!! The Grucci's, who have been hired to put this show together, are world renowned firework artists from Long Island, New York, with heritage dating back to 1850 in Bari, Italy. They are the producers of fireworks displays for six consecutive Presidential Inaugurations. This New London Fireworks show is the largest on the entire Eastern Seaboard, from Florida to Maine. YES, Even larger than New York City's display!
    Great viewing for Boaters!!
