That little shi....uh...turd likes to take off in the morning when I let him out!
He has discovered that our neighbors have a slit in their screen door & that he can go INSIDE to visit them.
Last week he did this & I was calling him up and down the road...only to find him on the other side of the fence, in the neighbors yard looking at me like "duh....how do I get from here to there" so, I have to walk up the driveway, onto their deck in order to get in their back yard (they're totally fenced in) so I walk up there & of course Sasha is following me...well Bodie sees me, the neighbor & gets excited and does his gallop run up on the deck to say hi to everyone-does a few circles then hauls a$$ at their screen door *note-I had NO clue there was a cut in the screen* so I am thinking he is going to go right through their door and we're going to have to replace it. Well obviously Bodie knew he could get though cuz that's just what he did! I was mortified...meanwhile the neighbor is chatting w/ me asking what his name is and how they've always called him "buster" since they didn't know his real name. And all I can think is about a clumsy 75 pound pit bull doing a gallop run through their entire house. Ugh, so he finally came out, I got him home and all was well.

Since that day, I constantly look outside to make sure he's in our yard...well this morning I saw out the bathroom window that he was on the side of the house next to the garage so I went ahead and showered. I get out of the shower and the doorbell is ringing...the poor old lady had to walk him back home because he had gone inside their house again to pay them a visit!! I am gonna KILL Him.

Moral to this story? We're getting an invisible fence!!!!

The real heat wave is finally hitting here. We're looking at mid 90's all week. The humidity is unbelievable today.

    its HOT here today too...

it has definitely been slow in here for sure...and I'll be moving out to the farmhouse not this weekend, but the next. No internet will be hooked up for at least a month or so...gonna be 200.00 to set it up and 50.00 a month for the most basic package they have! Crazy! Oh well, at least we won't have neighbors for miles!

I got a job at the elementary school there, found out yesterday...so the home daycare is officially closing the 10th of August...I start inservice on the 14th, 15th, and 16th, first day of school is the 17th. woo.

    thanks!

basically everything...haha. There is not a 'need' for an additional classroom yet...they are one or two students shy in three different classes that are going to have to be split, 1st, 3rd, and Kindergarten. Since the classes are so big, I will kind of rove between the classes helping all the teachers, unless we get those few extra kids enrolled at some point, then I will have a class to myself. The principal talked the new superintendent into hiring me anyway, even though there isn't really a 'position' yet...so I am glad :D

So basically teacher's aide until further notice. :D
