Demolition Progress And Renovation Progress. Reports, Pics And Videos

We passed by the resort this past week around lunch time, there were tons of workers lying around resting. Most of them were smiling once they realized we were looking at the resort then when we saw one of our security friends outside and we were getting hugs from him they knew we were looking! We gave them some applause and smiles and I even flashed my titties! Hopefully that was a little motivation!!

I agree with this observation. ohhhhh lets hope there are two hot tubes. That way I can have one for day and one for night lol

 

Seems to me that perhaps they need to change their home page then! I know I would be pissed if I had booked based upon just their website info and showed up to a resort that wasn't complete. I'd expect they will get many complaints if that's the case.

The thing is there really were not a ton of people working on the rooms or pool area when we visited last Thursday. I agree they could throw a lot of people at it and get 'it' done but it sure didn't seem like that was happening. (Most people working on connection between two towers). Which brought me to the conclusion that 'soft opening' meant less than I had hoped or imagined. I know that isn't a popular opinion but just telling it how I saw it. I didn't add earlier since it is just a fisherman but one approached me curious about what I was doing and his English was good and we discussed the resort progress. He stated he was there every day and comparing this construction site to other hotel sites he actually said it had less workers than typical. And he gave it a very small shot of being done August 15th. Now this is a fishermans opinion lol so take that as a grain of salt but it is what it is. Not cancelling my reservation. Just keeping my expectations in check so we are not disappointed. I do expect if they have to move us from a tower room to a Reno room that we would be compensated appropriately. I.e. Future stay or $ back

Tyler and Angie, you mentioned you went by the resort this week and saw 'tons of workers lying around and resting'. Did you think there was a ton of activity by the pool or the rooms? Just curious if you gained a different opinion on a different day.

I would have to say that I would agree to some degree. There was definitely work going on in the old rooms. Looked like most of the rooms were having there media cabinets installed. That would lead me to believe that tile work is done and painting. They were also installing the new room doors and frames. Our feeling is that ALL of the old existing rooms will be done and ready for occupation. Quite pool and Sexy pool open. All of the Ground floor and second floor of the new tower section will be done, that will include lobby, buffet, lounges, BASH, Jacuzzi over looking Sexy pool, Asian eatery by sexy pool. If you try to book on there website you cannot book penthouses, upper ocean suites till November.
Tyler said the exterior components of the Tower appeared to be fiberglass panel sections. Those were probably manufactured offsite and will go up QUICKLY! As long as the exterior is cleaned of debris and the work being done is mostly inside the tower, we shouldn't be too inconvenienced.
