Hmm. Informative. Hubby and i visit Asheville, North Carolina several times a year for the craft breweries. They are known as "Beer Capital USA" for the number of brewerys per capita in that area. Definitely a place to visit if you like beer. Louisville, Ky a town 25 minutes north of us is starting to get several brewhouses as well...although Louisville is more a foodie town because of the Culinary school here. I will definitely check out your links. I'd like to start home brewing this fall..i've always had an interest in that. Save money = more beer at home..sounds like a winner winner chicken dinner. I gave my husband a membership to the "Beer of the month" club on Amazingclubs.com this year for his birthday. Each month he gets 12 beers from different micro-breweries all over the United States. He has thoroughly enjoyed that gift. Although, he did discover that he hates IPA.
We'll be in on the 26th but flying direct out of SFO on United and get in about 4pm. We'll be taking USA Transfer. Bus transfers, take a long time to get everyone loaded up and unloaded as they go to all the resorts so you generally lose an hour or more versus a private transfer. You never know with delays anymore - so hard to blame it on one airline with weather delays and airport construction being the main culprit in delays. And as far as craft beer goes - Pacific NW wins the battle of the best - followed closely by Denver/Boulder & then Nor-Cal. If you dislike east coast IPA's, stay away from the West Coast ones. More bitter, more floral/hoppy & more alcohol. He loves them! File:Craft Breweries Per Capita (US).png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
