Have you been officially notified? I read that the opening is now 10/26. I know you were booked on the 25th. We are scheduled to arrive on the 30th. Looking into options now. Getting Cranky
Just got off the phone with the resort and they have no opening date now. Sending refunds that will take 3 weeks.
I just checked and there are garden rooms available in Cancun from October 30 through November 4 if that helps anyone. Sorry you guys are getting shut out of the new resort.
The lack of communication from the resort is really frustrating. We are supposed to go for New Years…. If they are going to be closed, fine… but let us know so we can rebook elsewhere!
I spoke with Resort around 10am this morning. We are booked for October 30th. I was told at this time they have not received the permits they need to open. They said that they should have more information after October 25th as to when they will be allowed to open. They offered to reschedule, refund, or wait until after the 25th to see what will happen. Flights booked, time taken off, we plan on going to DR. Currently researching other resorts with fingers crossed.
Tx for the info. We are Nov 6-10 and also considering just doing the same & going to a different resort in DR… but was really excited for this one. <sniff sniff>
The playmakers that left from Cancun to DR flew back to Cancun last night. Take that for what you will but figured I’d pass the info on.
