Husband and I have been 6 times and have never gotten the shots. We've never had a problem....except that once when I drank way too much wine and tequila and really got sick. :aktion014:
I have had the Twinrix shot for Hep A&B as it was strongly recommended by my family GP who spends several months in Mexico each year working there in clinics. He did not think Typhoid and Cholera shots were necessary.
Shots Been to mexico 10 time Cuba 8 Dominican With out shots clean bill of health ! The ice and water they serve at resort fine its when u get off the resort u should drink only bottled water and beer no mixed drinks
I may just get the first Hep A and leave the rest to chance. We don't eat meat so that should help a little, maybe
Had shots last trip, but not this time. We're technically still covered because they are meant to last for a year. Cancun is very clean and could be these recommendations are based on whole of Mexico, where other areas might not be so sanitary.
we've gotten flu shots in the past but even stopped getting those. I agree with Denise...I'm more worried about the Montezuma's Combo Revenge Platter....a little bit of sun, food, and alcohol poisoning always hits me around 3 to 4 days in.
Hey everyone....we just reached the minimum numbers for the Boobs Cruise on 12/10. That will be Marlene's B-day Part III. We will be starting her celebration at midnight Saturday night at Patyos/sports pool (bday = bday suit, no?)...party all day Sunday...and continue Monday on the cruise. Everyone is more than welcome and is expected to hang out with us for all 3 parts. There's been some new people lately on the December Roll Call. (that reminds me - Hurricane Sandy made my whipped cream explode, gotta get some more - better management this year with the cream, Chocolate will not be taken on the boat....haha!) strawberry,we have never been immunized for our previous trips. (i recently did hepa and hepB just because) but you shouldnt have a problem. when you get there you will realize that you have nothing to worry about. And this time of year there are no mosquitos. oh yeah, i would probably recommend the flu shot though as december is flu season.
