Rob, its time to take off the fu*@ing toe nail polish! The head of security was completely out of control. Slamming his hand down on the table bordered on violent. Worse yet was when he deployed additional guards to surround the whole area and continued to stand there and glare at the entire group for about 20 minutes thereafter. It was almost like he was trying to antagonise us. When I asked what was going on he said that other people in the bar had complained (I think not) and if we wanted to do body shots we should go to the beach. I plan on speaking to someone in management before we take off on Friday.
Okay! So how did it finally all end? Did management reprimand the security guard(s) that were out of line. Or is this going to slide until the next incident which may then escalate into something worst?
We might have to meet up with you guys...the hubby and I are seriously considering meeting up with a group of friends for memorial day and some much needed relaxation tubing :daveandmo:
As far as I know. From the previous posts. Theyare going to TRY and enforce the no body shot rule. As for the actions of the security personnel, its still up in the air. I wrote a complaint about both, the body shot rule and the security actions before I left. I also wrote another complaint through their website this morning. If TTR turns into a place where you can only lay at the pool and drink then they will be just like any of the 100's of other resorts. Scott and Danielle (p8triot37)are still there so we will see what they have to say when they come back.

facts well with 9 prior trips to blue bay getaway, we had to skip last year. we have noticed the resort getting milder and milder each year-- to the point we have considered looking for a different vacation spot. this year it was a very tough choice since the well known staff changes. basicly came down to partying with some good friends made on our prior trips. if things continue on the current course this might be our last trip. on a postive note the "cancun care reunion" in new orleans was a total blast in 07.
While I agree that it sounds like the reaction of Security was over the top I don't know of anytime that body shots were allowed in PadyO's or Maragretta's before that. Last year some of the younger crowd came into Pady O's and plopped a girl on the bar to do a body shot and the bartenders told them that they couldn't do it there. Sent them to the beach. So I'm not sure if there is a difference one what is being enforced, although like I said, security at BBG/TTR has always be a little more forceful than needed at times. Jamie
