We just booked last weekend through Expedia (1st trip) and we paid $2,450 for TTR, airfare, upgrade from AirTran to Delta and a jacuzzi room. Seemed comparable to the others, but again our first trip to TTR, so can only compare to family resorts. Several people said it's more to do with the airfare, but it seems the resort prices fluctuate as we'll.

Oh we'll, we're not looking back.....no more kiddie pools.

One of my engineers took Spirit or one of those other discount airlines the last time he went to Vegas... his words, never again! By the time he paid for luggage, choosing where they wanted to sit and all the other fees he said he could have just booked the Delta flight.

I've flown spirit to Vegas from Florida non-stop. It's a little cramped than say, an AA flight, but good enough I guess.

We are flying Spirit in February because it's the best landing time I could find for Thursday.

We are flying American Airlines in June fortunately.

My preferred flight from Florida to Cancun is Jet Blue but their landing and departure times suck lately in Cancun.

On Spirit you have charges for everything pretty much, carry-ons, checked bags, airport check in, seat assignments, Breathing (HA!), and snacks and beverages onboard. Plus sometimes depending on where you are searching, the lower fares are ony valid if you join their $9 fare club. Still, considering all that, I have still got the best rate on Spirit at least a couple of times so it's worth considering.

    God thats a beautiful thing.
    Lol.
The alpharooms deals worked out to about $26pp per night. Now that was just awesome!!!!
But looks like our secret is out and low rates are going the way of the dinosaur..
    **sigh**

I just used my jetblue miles and from Ft Lauderdale to Cancun for a pair of tickets total was $131 and 32,000 miles then alpharooms for the hotel. It was alot easier than paying full fare. This was the most I have paid yet.

We did the same thing. We were going to save our miles for Nov but who knows what will happen between now and then.....so we're going April 28th to May 4th. Booked a Double Seaview room for 1080.99. Works out to be roughly $90/pp per night. However, just checked same rooms for today.........I COULDN'T AFFORD IT. Thankful we booked when we did. Still looking for someone to tell me the difference between the ALPHAROOMS seaview room versus the oceanview. Really doesn't matter - cuz we are BOOKED!
