Miss Temptation is definitely hit and miss. When we were there for 2 weeks Nov/Dec the Miss Temptation competition went up on the entertainment board 3 times, yet never actually took place. They are looking for a specific type of girl for this competition, and even when they find them, some ladies, particularly those with professional careers, are reluctant to take part, due to the winner being posted on the hotel's website.
You can always check the TTR website, it does give a list of daily activities, but does state they are subject to change.

Yes drinks are free. I believe he was just joshing about his prize for third.

We will always remember that miss Temptations was on Wednesday when we were there our first time. We couldn't check in yet so wandered down the path that puts you by the sexy pool between the restrooms and the 3000 block premier building. We wanted to see what this sexy pool was all about. Almost immediately chinos comes running at us and dumps a bucket full of mens suits at our feet. Then 20+ men come running out of the pool naked right for us to get their suits. That was quite an intro to TTR. I had to quickly talk Jen off the ledge and explain that I hadn't tricked her to come to a clothing optional resort (not our thing) and that it was just a game.
