I think I maybe had 7 posts in the first year I was a member... I didnt know anyone and was just reading trip reports and other funny stories. So I dont really mind someone that has 0 posts, like was said, different strokes for different folks...
i think i onlt posted 2-3 times the first year also. and this is the second time (since the great server swap) i hit over 500 posts!!:aktion030:
my daughter used to run web sites. after watching her all i can say is, i am glad i am not doing ti. good job steve.:clappyinghappy::clappyinghappy:
I can't say how glad I am that Steve created this site. I will admit that at first I was a lurker. Four (five in 11 days) trips have made it all worthwhile.
I joined in 2007 I vist this site almost everyday. I have not ben back to Temptation sense 3 of 07 it was still bbg then. I read all the Trip reports look at pic read profiles I may not contritbute much but I fill like I know all of you and some day I will get back to temptations and meet some of you guys till then I got this site I may be fat but dont want to be cut LOL:aktion030:
I think they contribute just as much to this site....word of mouth is everything to Steve. I know we tell alot people about Temptatiions and cancuncare. Let them be.
People who register but dont post aren't a problem at all as far as I'm concerned and are quite welcome. Yesterday, on the cruise, we had 2 or 3 couples who dont have any posts on the forum join us and they were just as much fun as anyone else. I think as someone said it's just different strokes for different folks, some people have genuine reasons why they dont want to put themselves out there, some dont visit Cancun very often and dont feel they have much to contribute and some are just a little shy. Doesnt matter to me as long as people can research their trip, meet other folks - maybe via pm, whatever. Of course, with a forum as busy as this you do get some undesirables who register just to perv at pictures or get their sexual kicks through random PM's and I do my best to boot those as soon as I am made aware of them.
i dont take time to post alot either, but it is fun to stay involved when we can. good job steve this is a top shelf web site.
This is actually a great thread,as it probably targets people like myself concerning posting and what not. When i first signed up on the site, i did so for information and trip reports to Temptations in Cabo, and you know it was a great wealth of information for me to use while on vacation. As we are going to Temptations in Cancun on the 7th of april, iam finding it very usefull again. As for posting or not, its a heck of alot easier to jump in on a conversation if you know exactly to whom your talking too, and for that reason that is why someone like myself probably doesnt have 1,000 post lol. Anyway its a great site, and i thank you all for information that has been provided. And a thanks to Steve for providing the site. :daveandmo:
