You've probably already booked your trip, but it's obviously busier on weekends. We flew in on a Tues and breezed through customs. Bringing a pen is great advice!
Oh... and no one has to check your transfer papers till you get outside the building... There are tour operators throughout the process that try to pick you off as you move through the process. I was really surprised the first time I saw them after immigrations but before exiting customs. So swim through the sharks till you get outside of the building and THEN start looking for the transfer company on one of the signs outside. You might want to grab some of the booklets from the ladies dressed in Mayan dresses outside of customs before you exit the building. They are usually right in the middle of the path. The books have coupons you can use on Cancun and hints on things to see and places to shop... Jamie
USA Transfers is great. Just wear some universal clothes on the plane or bring flip flops in your bag ( I see you are going from Ohio) you can really feel the temp change once you hit the ground( even before) and by the time you can actually get off the plane you are sweating. Plus most of the time the ground transportation drives with windows open and no air conditioning. You will have a great time Temptaion is the best place!
