I think it is 3L bottles coming in and only two coming back to the states I read, but double check I brought down three in Jan. Here id the link I used. Mexico Travel - Entering Mexico - Government of Mexico
Yea I don't know, and it is a bummer that I haven't been able to find a solid hard fact about this. The most I heard from the US that people brought is (2) 1L bottles. That will be my plan for next time, and I don't think I will push it more than that.
Thank you for that. I love the official policy around drugs "Illegal controlled substances & drugs - a no no!" Hahaha a No No, who says that besides my grandmom to me when I was 4.
Don't botheracking alcohol. Get your driver to stop at Walmart on the way to the hotel..........makes it soooooooooooooooooooo much easier!
I might do this if there were other things we needed. The Wal Mart stop tacks $20 on to the price of the ride, which about doubles the cost of any booze I'd be bringing.
Since more and more airlines are charging for international checked lugguge , they are also weighing your carry ons now too to make sure your not over loading that too. varies from 5kg to 10 kg 12 to 22.5 pounds , depends on airline The over weight fees are getting STUPID. check before you fly ,, a lot of changes in the last year,, and can change even after you bought your ticket.
I get USA Transfers to stop at an oxox. They dont charge anything for it. Be sure to grab your driver a Gatorade or something .
and there might be no Fireball available either! therefore, stopping at walmart takes away the purpose...I know in international flights you are not allowed to bring alcohol on carry on I witnessed it first hand at Qatar airport bought myself 2x 1L Glenfiddich and about 2.5 liter of Absolute Vodka at Duty Free shop. They just gave me without seal packing them and when I get to the security they told me you cannot carry it and you have to send in as a check in, so I had to go all the way back and check in an extra bag (it was free of charge for me as I had an extra luggage space that I did not use) and on my last trip to Cancun our way back a guy at NJ airport was stop by security carrying a nice bottle (looked expensive gift wrapped) in his carry on and was told to either leave it or send in with the luggage that has already been checked in. The moral of the story not to take chances and just check in the alcohol. I am going to try to bring 3 750ml bottles and see what happens.
Good call Donald. I need to double check the weight restrictions. We always throw our suitcase on the scale and allow for 5 lb variance any time we check a bag. Thanks for the tip dewder.
