I am a little confused because I am from the UK and everybody including travel agents says to take American Dollars.

What is best Dollars Or Mexican Pesos ???

If Americans go there do they change their Dollars in to Mexican Pesos.

All the places in Cancun take American Dollars.

However you lose a bit in the exchange when getting change back.

It's best to use Mexican Pesos, but American Dollars are certainly accepted.

I think the majority would say to get Pesos. That way you don't have to convert over to US then over to Pesos...

They do accept USD over there, so either one works..

I am still a bit confused sorry.

If they accept both Currencies why do American people that go there change currency from the Dollar to the Pesos, is it something to do with the rate of exchange.

Yeah you might wanna see what it would cost you to get USD as opposed to pesos. I know for me it would have been a difference of like 40 bucks or so..So just check with your bank and see what give you the most money..

But yeah you can use Both over there
