    Hi,

I will be heading down to Temptation Resort on 12/8 and had a couple of currency (USD) related questions...

I would prefer to bring $20s rather than a bunch of $1s. How easy is it to make change for tips at the resort... outside the resort?

How easy (and expensive) is it to find an ATM to get extra cash (USD) if needed, at the resort and/or outside? Is it that much less of a hassle to bring more than enough cash with you rather than replenishing in Cancun?

    Thanks,
    Aldrich317
    Alan

Good luck trying to find US $ ones in Mexico,, they seem to magically disappear.

Interact machines are Russian roulette,, you can get dinged big time.

Get 20 peso notes, their water proof.

You can pack the small bills in your carry-on,, not any worse then having your camera in there.

It is an all inclusive so unless your going to go bar hopping a lot of nights, a couple hundred for tipping and 4 to 600 hundred is all you need.

Not including the Boobs Cruise I ussually only spend 200 after tipping.

Excursions booked at the sports bar can be paid by Visa,, that way you get the best exchange rate.

There is an ATM in the hotel near the lobby, but it is one of those that is a privately owned machine and generates a profit for the owner by charging extra fees.

If you turn left out of the hotel and walk to the convenience store at the end of the parking lot there is a bank owned ATM machine which charges regular (lower) fees. It is on the rear side of the convenience store out of sight from your approach, so easy to miss. It offers the option to dispense in Pesos or USD - have to admit I've never chosen the USD option but presumably it will work.

We can also take MC/Visa for the Boobs Cruise.

U can exchange your US dollars into pesos right at the front desk at the resort.
The rate at Halloween was over 12 pesos / dollar then, so it's close.

We have definatley changed Can $ in Cancun but our last few trips have found that a usd has a much better exchange rate. Giving the fact that the 2 currencies are pretty much worth the same and we found that ! usd is worth approx 12.5-13 mxp and 1 Can$ is worth 10 we started bring more usd and less Can$

    Hope this helps
