Curious about TTR tips

    I tipped maids 10/day
    bar tenders 20.00 at start of day by the pool
    Paty o bar tenders 20.00
    restaurants 5.00 per meal
    Its more than most but those people bust their ass and Im on vacation. Its not gonna kill me

    My guess is that they would have to "tip" out to other staff....having said that, the hubs and I always tend to tip bigger bills ($10, $20). We usually allot $80-$100 per day for tipping (not including maid service - that we tipped too).

    My feeling is that you are staying at a all inclusive so the cost to tip is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Considering that is it nothing for us here in Canada to spend $400-$500 when we go to the bar for ONE night - babysitter, cabs, food, drinks, etc.

    And it is nice to show the staff that you appreciate their hard work. All of the time, the service is fantastic so I say tip big and make their day!

    We have the same view. A good night out plus a sitter can easily be 4-500.
