Who are they? The Mets? lol the division is already theres....and to be honest, I think the NL Pennant too. Phillies will give them some trouble, probably go 7 games, but the Cardinals are just too good this year. Albert is from another planet, and picking up Matt Holiday was the smartest thing they could have done. Not to mention the pitching staff is ridiculous. I wish the Braves were as good as they were in the 90's again lol
Dennis......what happened this year??? The Mets have the most expensive DL in the majors!!!!!!! who woulda thought Reyes, Wright, Delgado, Beltran, Maine, and now Santana would be all out of comission at the same time before Sept.!!!! and most of them for the year??? Dennis....just let it go and come to the dark side!!! become a Yankee fan and join me as we get closer and closer to number 27!!!!!
Fletch... don't hand out the pennant just yet... the Rockies are far from done this year... Ya gotta Believe! Jamie
after seeing them the past two games....you're absolutely right!! I'd much prefer them to take it down over the Cards personally!
ya........its sad............WHEN the cubs win a game, so does the cards, and when we lose, they still win........... Cubs wont make the playoffs, but I will continue to watch! Ughhhhhhhhh its a rough life.
The Cards should get an assist for the jump-start they gave the Rockies for allowing the 4-game arse-kicking in June. In most sports, the hottest team going into the playoffs has a distinct advantage, although I am not sure how that follows thru with baseball. You should hop on a plane to TTR for Labor Day! The Cards & Rockies play three in Colorado on the last weekend of the year that may have a lot to do with the playoff scenarios.
Few rumblings around the diamond today are saying that Trevor Hoffman has been claimed off waivers by a Brewers "Rival"...Could the Cards have made a move? Obviously you dont take Franklin out of the closer spot, but Hoff as a setup man (if he's willing) is pretty dirty. Also, an unknown team has claimed Rich Harden off of waivers from the Cubbies. Rumor says its a playoff contender (Giants, Rockies, Dodgers are the 3 being named) Going to be an interested next few weeks!!
The Sox are certainly not the same Sox as in 2004 or 2007...they are fading FAST, and this is certainly not their year....Clearly my Braves won't make it either this year, so here's to hoping the Rangers or Rockies take it all!!
