    Real Cubans

The "cubans" sold the glass boxes on the beach for $25 of so are not real. They are usally dried up dollar cigars with fake labels. Typically claimed to be Cohibas. Check out the humidor at the La Isla mall. REAL Cubans will have a holographic label on the box, usually across the box seal. They will be expensive, but if you are true cigar smoker you wont mind. And true cubans are never sold in a wood and glass box. Don't pay what they want in the Duty Free though. They are WAY over priced. $15 to $20 a stick is fair. The duty free charges up to $50 each. They truly aren't that much better that what you can by in the US anyway. Its just the rarity factor that gets everyone excited. Easier to buy some good ones at home, buy a xicar travel humidor and bring them with you. But make sure you DO NOT put them in your checked back. If they are in the cargo hold of the plane they will burst / split open from the pressure changes. Just keep them in your carry on. Customs going in to Mexico or out of the US has never said a word. The US will always ask what you are bringing back. Just my two cents. Hope it helps and didn't mean to step on any toes.
