Hola! Been buying them for years on the beach from Victor. Only Victor. He is honest - my friends and I have been buying from him for at least 10 years. He has Romeo and Juliets as well as Cohiba's. Victor is about 60 years old. Tell him Sid and Lou recommended. If you have U.S. Marlboros I know he's cut you a break! Loves american cigs:huepfen013:
Dont buy the crap in the wood and glass box on the beach. They are Mexican "Cubans". They are way too spicy and burn too hot for the real thing. Save your money and buy them duty free in the airport on the way home. They will rering them for you and you can hide the real bands in a suitcase. Or find a reputable shop in the big mall by the Riu. Once you smoke the real thing you'll know the difference. Go to this place if you can find it in the mall.
thanks for the info now we have to make sure we didn't forget anything we arrive tomorrow cant wait .............time to party
Has anyone been caught bringing them back? What kind of fines/penalties for small amounts (i.e. less than 50 cubans) might be dished out?
I believe you are allowed to bring back 25 cigars, we have always clamed them and never had a problem. ( we never stated they where Cuban) Also the guy in the flea market arcross the street has good prices if you talk him down, Walmart also may have good prices, but the tobacco shop has always been closed when we went
