That totally socks for them. We did not ask for it at first. I was drinking the tequila and one gave me a shot of the top shelf. I asked for it in the bar inside and was told it was only for premier members. Next day same bar tender gave us top shelf all day. I was not going to complain. If they decide to do this it is on them.
I also like them, but if one wants to give me good booze then I'm not going say no. Apparently $20 was worth it. Again it is not something I asked for.
Totally get wear your coming from , and would probably take the Crown too, I,m just cautious about encouraging activities that could get my Bartender fired. Resort bartender jobs is like winning the lottery in Mexico All is good Cheers
Completely agree with U Donald it is not a practise that should be broadcasted on a public forum. if someone has built a rapport with a TTR employee and thusly is bending the rules it should be kept 'on the nose'
I get where both dynamite and marshe are coming from. Many people tip large up front as a thank you for future good service...and avoid carrying bills all day in the pool to tip. I don't believe dynamite was expecting a booze upgrade for the $20. What marshe is saying, though is that if you receive an unexpected upgrade...just smile and keep it to yourself. Don't go back to your friends and encourage them to tip $20 and ask for top shelf. The bartender did you a favor...keep it to yourself, both at the resort and on the forum. Tips are cool...bribes get people in trouble.
We buy 6 bottles and I drink something else the first 3 days of our 8 day trip just so the wife does not run out. We men have it ruff but life is good.
