HAHA! I would agree that Boston drivers are much worse than NYC drivers. In city traffic the NY drivers are assertive but clear...Boston drivers are just illogical, maybe they are all busy solving partial differential equations in their heads. But in a sleepy little MA town the New Yorkers really stick out. When I go visit my family in Maine they all freak out when I drive...because I bother to pass cars...they are so used to "get there when you get there" that none of them even remembers how to pass a car. They drive like small town hicks now, and they are happy about it. Drive me a little nuts to be there. And when I go to Colorado I'm AMAZED at how everyone sticks to their OWN LANE. What is that? There's no constant ebb and flow as cars weave in and out of their lanes? Weird. But in Colorado everyone tailgates, they drive on your butt, just like they do here, only the traffic density is much lower. Also weird. I've brake-checked people in Colorado more than once just to get them to stop tailgating me. They hate it but it works (and I've only been hit once, haha). Driving here in Cancun has taught me two things: - Never assume a car has brake lights. - Always assume the car next to you may be intending to turn across your path, across multiple lanes, without signaling, RIGHT NOW.
