Heck yeah I remember jelly shoes! I rocked them every warm day from my earliest memories of about age three until probably second grade! But IMO, these 'crocs' are glorified yet ugly garden shoes and nothing like jelly shoes. Again IMO, as I said in the crocs thread on the other forum... crocs, like my beloved jellies, are for kids!
Why? I have noticed these being worn more & more over the past couple of years. We were at Disney World over Spring Break and had a contest to see who could spot the most pairs of Crocs in a day. I think the winner counted over 60 pairs! I keep hearing about how comfortable they are. My question is, do that many people have foot problems, that they like these ugly things so much? I mean, maybe I'm just lucky but a good pair of New Balance work fine for me Mike
My New Balance are great too. I'm tellin yall, just wear a pair. I wouldn't wear them out or anything, but they are good for just running to town or the kids baseball games ect. I can't talk Zack into wearing them. He says the same thing yall do. I just got him to wear a pair of flip flips for Cancun last year! That was like a major accomplishment.
Ive got purple crocs - they are sooo comfy and look cute with jeans!! I also have the croc flip flops - I walked round Vegas for a week in those and my feet didnt hurt at all!!
Yeah they are ugly but so convenient. I keep mine by the front door and just throw them on when I have to quick run out to check the mail or pick up one of the kids. My kids say they are hideous but I have seen all of them throw mine on quick to run outside. And they are comfortable..I did not believe anyone saying that til I tried a pair on. Not a croc addict, but like the pair I have.
I have not ran into a purple pair when I was in the shopping mood yet. I have dk blue, lt blue, pink, black, white and red. They are just so comfy.
What I find funny is that I posted about this topic on the "Breaker's Forum" and most seem to not like Crocs at all, mostly because of the way they look. Meanwhile, when I was in Cancun, mostly it was young adults who were wearing them... things that make ya go hmmmm. 212eric
