Thanks. I wasn't sure if they would hold us hostage there if we were leaving the resort anyway that day.
You can pay for as may tests as you want or go off site to get an additional test. You would not be a prisoner to TTR and can quarantine wherever you want, just no getting on a plane to the US. I would think that if a person decides to stay at TTR they will expect you to stay in your room. I don't think there is a best way to ensure not getting stuck there... maybe social distancing and masks at TTR (I don't recall any guests wearing masks) ? Try to catch covid in the states about 6 weeks before your trip (so you will have built up anti-bodies)? Get a booster? It's a chance going, for sure, that you might get covid there. Is it probably, no, but possible, yes.
I've done early check in before, and they said it actually helped in us getting the room we wanted. for telephone it asks for country code city code and number Does anyone know exactly what they are asking for?
Your entire 2nd paragraph = Major misinterpretation. My bad for confusing you. I'm glad to know that we have the ability to QT wherever we see fit and not be constrained by any rules. We're going there to party and accept the risk we are taking. I'm just a planner.
Are you in the US? If so, the country code is 1, the city code is your area code and then your 7-digit phone number.
If you booked your reservation prior to May 1st TTR covers the cost of the COVID test to return to the US.
Some other places, NOT Mexico, do require a neg-test outbound to the location. We had to get one to get "in" to St. Martin in July, but not to get into Mexico in June.
