my mate gary came from the UK,he had alot of travellers cheques..used his debit card aswell i think,but hell yeah you get charged alot man.. what i'd do,where do u pass through?take out the cash you need for the first week,but keep it in the safe..take out littlle bits at a time..not your whole wallet & lose it on the first night,like i did..got too excited you'll be fine,but work it out before u leave the uk what your plan is bro..
Yeah it isnt worth atming it mate I did this the first year and I got charged loads for it, I think it was around £6 everytime I went (Which was about 15 times) Bye Adam
