Just a quick couple questions.... live in the uk, if i take a visa debit card and use the atm's will i get charged loads? also is there a water slide park in cancun??
im not sure about the charges to your debit card, but i know they have agreat exhcnage rate from the atm machines and yes there is an atm
You'll probably get charged your usual international rate..call your bank or check their website... There's a 'Wet n' Wild' waterpark in Cancun It was closed last year i think but this year should be back open (Can anyone confirm?)
prob best to take enough for what you think ya will use in a week then for 2nd week make same withdraw because i 5 here and there can soon add up
i didnt get charged too much last year. i usually just being enough cash so I dont have to worry about the atm.... but this year.. being at the oasis.. might be different
Depends on your bank. I still bank mainly in the UK and have been using my maestro crad at the ATM's for 2 1/2 years. You'll get a better rate and if your bank doesnt charge too much it will work out better, but check on their charges. I bank with HSBC and Abbey National btw and both are fine on charges.
dont use the cash machines... i stupidly left all my dollars at home last year (what a tw*t!) so had to withdraw pesos at the ATMs in cancun, i worked out i lost just over £100 in the exchange and the withdrawal each time as there is a maximum you can get out each day. was bollocks! and yeah there is a waterpark. its not the best though, compared to ones you get in europe and spain and stuff. and it was dead when we went. but we got to watch a sea lion show!!!
