Yes, Perceived Beauty, that is exactly where I wanted to go with my reply. Enough is enough already. But thanks for the etiquette lesson of which I was aware, after being told this by my then 15 year old daughter about a dozen years ago. But now that I have SCREAMED, I will edit it back to a regular sized font. I wanted Gabesz to hear my screaming, but he will not let it go, that what Cancun Fun and I both stated, me in a bit of detail, about more than two cards being permitted with an Exec account here in Mexico. Give me credit for knowing that I have more than two cards available on my existing acct, hence my offer to share. By the way, Gabesz, in the US, you CAN get up to 6 additional cards on an Exec membership. In fact, I had 6 total, 2+4, on my business account there. Could have had 2 more. But, like your US Costco comments that you are trying to apply to Mexico, this has nothing at all to do with this thread. Since no one seems to want to leave this alone, I will wait a day or so and make this offer on a new thread and let this one die a quick death.
T.J thank you for your Generous offer, cant really get my head around my anyone would say anything other than thank you to you. its a great deal you have offered, do you know if the cards can be collected at any branch in Mexico as i am currently in Hermosillo, Sonora. We are about to open a new business so this card will come in more than handy and will be of even more use when we move down there in a few months.
TJ: To clarify I am not out to stop you from trying to allow anyone to use the perk of this card that you are offering. I really think at the price you are offering is a great deal and someone should take it. I am just trying to clarify the situation on how many cards a membership is allowed in case you were not aware of it and not to get into trouble for selling something you could not. So I followed your advice and checked on Costco US web site. Keep in mind this applies to the US and may or may not be the same in Mexico. And you are indeed correct you can have up to 6 extra cards IF you are a business executive membership. However you cannot have this many cards on a regular personal membership, executive or just plain gold star. Here is the info from the Costco site directly re the business executive card. You also do not have to yell about this since this is no big deal in my book, and was hoping to help you out vs. stopping your sale of this card which you should do since you are allowed based on the business card policy Costco has. Executive Business Membership is available to owners or operators of businesses who want the benefits of a Costco Business Membership, with the added value of an Executive Membership. The Executive Business Membership includes a free household card*, and allows you to purchase products for business, personal and resale** use. Executive Membership is our highest level of membership. Executive Members enjoy an annual 2% Reward on most Costco purchases, as well as additional values on member services, such as lower prices on check printing, payroll services and identity protection; an account bonus for money market and online investing accounts; free roadside assistance for vehicles covered through the auto insurance program; and extra travel benefits. For more information on Executive Membership, please visit the warehouse or call 1-800-220-6000. Business identification (business license, resale certificate, or three pieces of business ID) is required when applying for an Executive Business Membership. Please bring your new membership cards and present appropriate documentation at the membership counter of any US warehouse location. Executive Business Members also may add up to six additional cardholders (add-ons) as Business Members to their membership at $55.00 each per year, which includes one household card per add-on.* (Please note that 2% Rewards are calculated on purchases by the primary member and spouse but additional cardholders and their spouses are not eligible for Executive Membership benefits or the 2% Reward.) To add these additional cards, visit the membership counter at any Costco location, or call 1-800-774-2678.
Hi Robbie, I don't know if you can do that or not. I can ask them tomorrow as I am going there at 10 am. I can send you laa message later. Below is some more info that may be helpful to you or others, who may travel to other countries where there is a Costco. You can use a Mexican Costco membership card, of any kind, throughout Mexico. If you have an Exec membership, all rights and benefits are available for a Mexico card, throughout Mexico. You can also use a US card in Mexico Costcos. I think when I used to do this I had to stop at Cust Serv the first time and they coded something in so that I just buzzed through in the future. But I am not certain if I had to do anything the first time. Quiza si, quiza no. You can use all Mexico Costco cards in the states. However, you do not get all of the Exec benefits. But you can purchase anything in or out of the stores, including pharmacy products AND gasoline. The only differences when using the Mex card in the US, as to procedures, are that it cannot be used at the Self-Checkout and at a regular cashier, they have to key in a code, I think it is /7, before they swipe your card to begin your transaction. However, at the gas pumps, the Mex card works as if it were a US card. The prices of all types of memberships are much less here than in the states. Using $14 to $1 for the exchange rate, and I got more than that yesterday, the $55 US for an Indiv. membership, here the card is $400 Mxn or about $28.70 US. The Exec, at $110 US, here is $1,000 Mxn, or $71.43 US. If someone wants the Exec card, and spends about the same amount of money in each country, they are better getting that card here and saving almost $40. The Mex Indiv card, at a savings of over $26 is a no brainer, unless you just have to use the Self-Checkout and paying the extra $$ is no big deal.
Tommy, Interesting maybe, but not scripturally unusual. Maybe you have never heard a Southern Baptist preacher. God's wrath was described, when translated, as Hellfire and Brimstone. Many Chistian preachers use vivid descriptions of judgment to encourage repentance, and they get loud doing so. Maybe I was preaching a bit and being judgmental. I know that may be a stretch but no harm was intended. Just my wrath showing from getting tired of defending my post in the face of it continuingly being challenged by the same poster. If I currently have the basic two Executive cards, and three additional ones, it could be assumend that I can continue this upon renewal, in spite of what US rules may be. And in spite of my wrath/screaming, we get a copy and paste on US Costco rules. We are not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy. It just gets old after a while Tommy, and like these posts, it is detracting from the intended purpose of this thread. Even Gabesz acknowledges that "I really think at the price you are offering is a great deal and someone should take it." But enough already about how many cards I can have on my Exec account, that is in place. This is only a renewal of what I already have. Cheers,
I like Costco on Sundays it's like a nouveau cuisine restaurant. Start with your mini sample of Miller lager or tequila, follow it round for an amuse bouche of pitta with tzatziki, an appetizer of roasted peppers on mini pan tostado, a limon sorbet to cleanse the palate, entrée of a chicken wing, some sweetcorn, and some veggie potato chips, loop back round for a sliver of cinnamon roll or a cheese board of queso panela on a cocktail stick, finish it off by retiring to the TV section for a while to watch the huge HDTV with your sample of coffee and your done
