You actually got a really good deal. July always seems to be one of the most expensive months. We went last year for 8 days and it cost us more than going next week for 12 days. And it always seems that the closer you get the more expensive it gets. We also went with delta. Definitely check out cancunvalet for your transport. We've been using them for atleast 10 years and have never had a problem. They also rent cell phones at a decent price if you need one.

yeah just under that, but I'm waiting for prices to go down a little more. The flights say not to buy now because they are going down! So, hopefully we'll be closer to like $650 for the six days! Too bad you guys are going a week or two after!

 

2 direct flight tix $1,000 and 5 nights thru Alpharooms $107 per night..

 

We booked this am thru expedia and got direct flights from Winnipeg on December 14th for 9 nights/10 days for $3055 including the airport transfers. Maybe not the best price but what the hell! Can't wait!

 

We were $2580 for a week with direct flights out of Edmonton. Paid $2200 last January.

 

So from everyones experience what is usually the window as far as advanced booking in order to secure the best pricing-90-120 days?

 

I would book as soon as you "know" when you want to go. Typically we save a lot on airfare alone with this process. We booked non-stop flights from Cleveland for $1,000 total 8 months in advance. The price of the flight has went up to $1,200 and recently went back down to $1,030. I think a lot of depends on fuel prices, which isn't a game I want to play.
