I hope its no longer an issue in October because I like the high rooms but to be honest We've never had a complaint or reason to ask to be moved before. I guess we've stayed in pretty much every area at one time or another.
From personal experience, when we went to TTR for our 2nd Trip in June, we went as a group of 5. My Wife and I in one room, our 2 friends in another and male friend in another. We emailed the hotel months before our trip to request we all be near one another, not particularly next door, but within the same block maybe... we also requested this again during our 'Priority Online Checki-in' however when we got to the resort, my wife and i were in the 4000 block and our friends were over in the 1000 block, but right at oppisite ends... We hated our room as it was looking out onto the car park and main road so we requested to be moved to, if possible, the 5000 block as we love it over there, they moved us no problem, even gave us a choice of 2 different rooms in the 5000 block...the point i'm trying to make is, you can't really 'pre-book' a specific room. They will try and accomodate you if you arent happy with you're room but i think it's easier for them to allocate you a room, then relocate you if you arent happy as opposed to allowing you to choose where you wanna be, that would more than likley, create ALOT of work for them if they allowed this. Just my 2 cents... Just as a point of contact for you, if you do contact Guest Serices, i found Jeanette to be incredibly helpful...Tell her Sophie from Wales reccomended her!
We always wait until we get there and ask. We've had luck getting a room where we want it.....although we always ask for a room near paty o's so we never have to walk far when your drunk
