That's not what I was talking about at all. We do love the TTR atmosphere. We love the people. It's the friendships we make that keep us going back. But the past two years our rooms have had issues. Last year our room was covered in mildew and mold. The curtains had holes. And our bathroom this year flooded with yellowish water, yes I leave feeling a little grossed out. I didn't mean to upset anybody with my comment.
IOO................the resort needs some substantial renovations ............ to us much of the resort is fine. We don't need 5 stars..........and likely can't afford 2 weeks of it a year........unless we get back into the house flipping business again.......and we'd have to wait till Tramp's knee rehabs. But still............not sure we want to spend huge bucks at TTR. Desire is different. The beach alone is worth the aprox 30% +/- additional. The portion of the resort that was "the other" place is like a wasteland. I think that's where they shuffle "members".......and there are some very nice rooms over there........but as a whole.....there's not much good over there........REMEMBER......this is all IOO. We'd still like to see another pool.......definitely CO. Let's see what Original Resorts has to say in their press release.
I guess we have been lucky with both of our rooms. The second one had a hint of mildew that Beck complained about but thats it.
no insult taken,, others have had issues with air conditioning , mold, bad security,,not so good beach,, we all make an evaluated decision on whether or not to return to our 3,5* meca , and your entitled to your,s,, ,, but to compare it to a 5* resort at double the price in the same paragraph is ludicrous.
Never had anyone tell us we had to be LS and half the people there were wearing swimsuits at Desire last week. Don't knock it until you've been there.
This is typical on here Jenn. Don't take offense, everyone gets in an uproar whenever someone says that they like Desire better.
I agree. Try it first. We aren't LS and never felt any pressure to be. We always see many folks wear their swimsuits.Trying to compare TTR and Desire is apples and oranges. They are both great and we enjoy both
I have read many tripadvisor reviews that said how discusting TTR was and full of swingers and everything else bad. So thank you your post. People will always assume what they want about things until they experience them for themselves.
