I personally hope they don't do much with the resort. I like the whole atmosphere. My one request would be DE-HUMIDIFIERS in all of the rooms. So at least we could sleep in a dry bed. Oh, also a nudity area would be nice, maybe the cigar bar! Just a thought.
If I had heard it from random people I wouldn't believe it but the fact that I heard it from very reliable sources (employees) at both places, I'd say it's pretty believable
Hong Kong built an airport in the middle of the Ocean, and I've seen video of them completely remaking the beaches in Cancun after a hurricane. I imagine making a larger beach isn't impossible... but yeah, I assume that it's unlikely.
OK so the talk about construction happens every couple of months or so, especially around this time of the year. A few weeks ago someone added to a thread that they were given word from the hotel of all these things that were defiantly happening. Some people got worried (as they always understandably do) and then the poster responded that it was just a joke. The joke and the responses that followed weren't well received and I believe that was reason the poster was banned. They were fairly new to the board if I remember correctly, so the timing seemed off for trickery (hopefully unlike my sarcasm when I talk about much of a sex machine I am). This new spark of construction came from Steve via facebook, and he said something official was being put together. So it seems there is a bit more to this then normal. (but Donald still feel free to add your crystal ball picture, haha)
Maybe I am really naive.........but it seemed to that Steve came very close to confirming the rumor with his 1:25pm post this afternoon. In Steve I trust!
Although we had a great time at TTR there is no way I would spend 4 to 5K for what it had to offer. The people who TTR attract is the best thing they have going along with the staff, I hope they think this remodel over and do it in well thought out stages. T
Very true. I feel that Original resorts has their niche in that $4000/week market with the Desires. I would be sad if they decided to switch the TTR that we know and love to something more then it needs to be. A few basic upgrades could make this place amazing. That was THE one major reason for not buying the TS...what if I don't like it? What if its not the same TTR that I fell in love with? When all this construction talk is over or completed Ira & I will re-evaluate. Nikki
We bought in mostly for Desire. We fell in love with it the moment we walked in the door. Until they do some major renovations to TTR, we probably won't be back... Well maybe like 1 night just to do the Boobs Cruise. I get to a point where I feel disgusting when I leave there it's gone down hill in the 4 years we've been there.
