It's all good, Original Resorts has hired this guy to be in charge of the announcement of any pending construction!
We go every May anyhow but I just booked our reservations for May just in case there is any truth to the rumor of a June closure. Because, if there is, May is going to blow up. Steve, you'll probably have to run 10-12 cruises that month! LOL
Hmmmm interesting since Pearl was our other option and it doesn't sound like a person can get accurate information about the extent or duration of any repairs. We'd love to avoid the inconvenience of construction for our short getaway. Thanks for your input!
Thanks Everyone! Appreciate the info and maybe will hold off for said announcement for a bit before booking.
I would think they would have to expand the pool areas significantly if they are going to be adding multiple floors. Isn't it pretty hard to get a chair now when it's at capacity?
I'm rather impatient. Lots of speculation........will they close the entire resort.....how much will be affected? How often is TTR "sold out" now? It happens but does it really happen enough to warrant a "tower"? Obviously the owners know what they want and believe they need. Selfishly.........we know it's going to lead to increased prices. And...........the Staff is going to be out of work and have to find employment elsewhere. Will they come back? The Staff has been some of the best aspects of the Resort... Sigh.....
That is going to be the big question. Seems the hotel is quite popular now and once they invest millions of dollars, rates have to go up. Question is just how much.
They'll need to stay inside their market price no matter what the reno's cost. They are basically the same in price as Golden Parnassus, and a little cheaper than Desire. I don't see how they could go higher than Desire, and fill up the extra rooms.
