Seems to me they're wasting no time. Obviously, permitting has come through (you would think) and they're starting work even before the official announcement. Depending on how extensive the remodeling is, I remember seeing something about an estimate of 6 months (I think). I wonder if that's still the case...
I have to admit I did put my hand in the pool one night to see how warm it was while waiting for our Asian restaurant table to open up. T
I think they would just shift everything to the quiet pool while they are redoing the sexy pool. Last year they shifted stuff out to Diego's at night while they were working on Patyo.
So..........an additional 100 rooms. Can you imagine another 200 people trying get a reservation for dinner........ar another 200 people at Paty O's or Nice Shoes? How about in the pools or on the beach? How about standing in line at the pool bars trying to get a drink. There are going to have to some additions to public areas, but where? There's not a lot of open ground as it is. Do we really want to deal with that many more people? Lots of questions. I wish we could get some real plan information from Original Resorts!
Last week, we where told they would be building those 3 demo rooms to show the owners, too decide which direction they would go. They are only temporary and will be torn down when the reno's start. He also told us some interesting options the resort may go during renovation.. partial closure, complete closure or leasing another resort and moving "Temptation" there temporarily.
Seems as though it would be easier just to renovate 3 existing rooms.......and leave them like that until complete renovations are underway. Big money.........Big money!
That's a valid concern, but I'd wager that they have already considered those issues and are going to create extra capacity in addition to the new rooms.
