Just got back 2 days ago. Literally saw and HEARD them completely tearing apart two rooms. Also saw about 10 guys walking around the sexy pool with plans in their hands pointing here and there. (Most of them were paying more attention to the attractions in the pool.) In my opinion.....it looked like they staged it to make it look like they were actually doing something. lol However,,,,,,the work in the rooms is REAL.
FYI - Original Resorts never actually purchased/owned the Cabo property, they just had 5 year lease to operate it as a resort. - when the 5 year period expired, they(Original Resorts) decided not to renew or buy it out because it was unprofitable and simply walked away(just like a car lease operates).
That is the thing with all vacation clubs such as Premier, you don't really own anything other than a contract(piece of paper) so the money you invest is just a gamble based upon on the goodwill of others.....
in Oct on our last trip we witnessed a building being built it rained so much they only got a bit of a wall done .. but we did see it they did the tour with us talking about new pools a new club and new restaurants ... but someone told us later they have been saying that for years so no clue
True been hearing that since our first trip and our first walk around the property. Got the whole we're going to do this and this and this with the place. All in the hopes of getting some elusive vacationer to come to the place. If they'd replace the airconditioners and fix up the rooms and continued doing what they've been doing for the last few years they'll still do alright. People come back for a reason and usually bring like minded folks down with them.
The only thing thing that I hope they change are those terrible floors!!! Those little "traction" strips do nothing! I don't really drink and even in flip flops I've almost died a few times. I went with Red and he fell down the stairs. He had one hell of a "battle scar" lol. I brought a bunch of sexy heels last time, but it was so dangerous even wearing flip flops that I didn't find it worth the risk being sexy for a few hours.
