It sounds like you are not too concerned about the price so I would suggest booking the Temptation Suite, those are truly ocean front with great views from your balcony. They are bigger rooms with seating areas and large showers, you won't be disappointed with the suites.
I uploaded some pictures I made public on my Facebook page of the different rooms we have had in our 3 visits. We had room changes 2 of the 3 visits, so we actually have had 3 different Temptation Suites, and 2 jacuzzi rooms. The pictures are of those rooms. I never noticed any problem with the A/C in the suites, and we like it cold. I think 1201 is the best room in the whole resort, but that is just my opinion! It is my understanding that the deluxe ocean view rooms are the same as the jacuzzi rooms inside, it is just that the jacuzzi rooms have the jacuzzi on the patio. There are other deluxe rooms that have a different floorplan without a bathroom door, so if that is a problem you may want to avoid those rooms. We got the Temptation Suite on our second trip because we booked a jacuzzi room, but the first night there was a problem with a major clog in the shower drain and we were told we had to switch rooms after we had already unpacked everything - talked them into the Temptation Suite upgrade for our trouble and it did NOT disappoint! The only thing I wish is that those rooms had the jacuzzi on the patio instead of in the bathroom. Our first trip was last Oct. and there was a tropical storm the first night/second day we were there :-( Our room was flooded by the wind blowing the rain into our room through the sliding glass door, so we switched rooms to another Temptation Suite. What I recommend you do not waste any money on is the Drops of Love package. Here is the link to the Facebook album: Facebook
If you can afford it go for the jacuzzi suite. Front view of the ocean and a big nice balcony. We stayed in 1302 (second floor) but would prefer any on the ground floor. The silly thing about suites is the bathroom - in the place where should be a big mirror they have a window overlooking the bedroom! It does not bother me brushing my teeth and looking at hubby still in bed watching educational channel on TV but having only one small mirror in a bathroom sucks! Not sure why they thought it would be a good design?!? Jacuzzi bath is also not as nice and as big as the jacuzzi in jacuzzi rooms. It fits only one person, plus it's inside but has a massive window overlooking beach which is nice... We couldn't really use ours because when you switched it on the shower would also go off.... lol We also stayed in jacuzzi room (I think 1135) - all jacuzzi rooms are on the ground floor because they have outside jacuzzi on the patio/balcony- big tube comfortably fitting 2 people. It was a nice big room with specious bathroom, bit wear and tear showing in the furniture but nothing to complain about (not much time spend in the room anyway). It had a partial ocean view but it also was facing the back of bellavista restaurant. It didn't bother us too much - we just pulled the screen. But we have also been given jacuzzi room 1027 which had no ocean view, horrible smell and it was much smaller with tiny and badly designed bathroom, later in the evening we also discovered it was just outside nice shoes disco! It definitely wasn't good value for money and did not compare to our previous jacuzzi room, so we upgraded to the ocean view suite.
SultryFox, that was very helpful. Was room 1201 a Temptations Suite? That did look like the room with the best view.
Yes, that was a Temptation Suite and the view is amazing, plus the room is very big and nice! They are pricey compared to the other rooms, but we enjoyed it very much!
