Even when you pay in full up front that doesn't mean the broker remits the money to the hotel. Quite a few people were bumped last April but mostly for a day. The order in which you pay has nothing to due with the order they bump people. Its the time you check in at the Hotel. Some one mentioned Expedia has priority . Members are last on the list to get bumped.
Out of curiosity who told you Expedia is a preferred client with Temptations, I have booked with them for April and that would be a piece of mind ?.
I was more or less talking about getting bumped before you get there, as I have seen or at least heard about that. Like say a week or two out. I dont know what formula is used, but I would guess last booked might be first out, and having paid in full might help. Just a theory. But you are probably right if its that day then it would check in. Question when do most people usually get there on a given day. When I was booking it seemed nothing at least from my area got there any earlier than about 11am. But dont matter the resort or who you book through I would think come march april you run the risk of getting bumped. As far as expedia is that what they said or what TTR said.
read post #12[/QUOTE] This is what TTR said. I called both places (expedia and TTR). We were confirmed and if they did not have the room we ordered we would be upgraded to another room.
The only reason why I checked was because of all the conversations we were having about people getting bumped or moved to another hotel. Just didn't want to take the chance on missing out of this great party.
You have nothing to worry about... You can always stay with me my Pamela Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Hi Guys, Confirmation of a room "404 error" because you can't confirm until I believe 2 weeks before your dates. My understanding is that if you do get bumped you can still party at TTR they will transport you back and forth... so with that you can party all day and night at TTR if and when you need to crash they will take you back to your hotel and bring you back. Plus I hear they will do somthing to keep you happy. I've heard about vouchers, upgrades... so it wouldn't be that bad... LOL but like you I would rather Desires than a hotel full of kids...ahhh the horror...LOL
