Although, I think the Boobs Cruise is more "lively" than TTR during the day. There is more crazy stuff on the cruise than at the resort...for the most part. ~Jill~
Yucatan, if those issues bother you significantly it might be better for you to find another resort. Those concerns are valid! Inspire of all of that you'll likely have fun, the people there are great. Take a look at TTR's sister resort Desire is nude...but most of your other concerns won't be found there. For us the Techno music loop is almost too much. PJ is a big guy so we seldom have issues with the single guys, but in 2010 we saw a brawl at Paty O's that was unbelievable.......3-4 people had to be taken to the hosp and another 7-8 were arrested, unfortunately including a couple guys that tried to break it up. TTR's security was worthless. Understand that's not normal behavior but it does happen, single guys can be a pain in the ass! Check out Desire......
We just about didn't go the first year not nowing anybody, but everyone seems so freindly and easy to talk to us. The second year about 10 to 15 couples showed back up and this year more like 20 to 30 will show up. We laughed at the games for a week solid. It was the most enjoyable and weird to say relaxing vacation I have ever had. The music is anoying sometimes but for the most you don't even pay attention to it. If you go once you will be part of a group before you leave and EVERYTIME YOU RETURN.
I hate to dampen your advice PJand Kath but it happens everywhere in North America not just TRS. I work in the entertainment business and we have nonsense every weekend including murders outside our doors. I don't see that type of climate at TRS nor should anyone have any reason to fear single guys. People can be idiots everywhere. As far as security goes they do the best they can. Given the number of drinks that are served every day/night at Sexy Pool & Paty O's I'd say they do a great job.
yes there is alot of singles. most of them behave. we had one getto rat act an ass and ask my wife to go back to his room. if we had been in the usa he would be missing his teeth. what you exspect. we had fun met alot of nice people but we would not go back just due to me not being able to safely leave my wife by herself to go to the bathroom. i would come back and she was surrounded. we love adults only but these single guys think if they are at a topless resort that anyone is game.
We've been going to Playa del Carmen every year since 2000 and always tried to avoid spring break. We had to alter our schedule one year, due to a death in the family. We got stuck with the spring breakers. I'm sure it's different with the older clientele here, but these boys were completely out of control..vulgar chants hollered from the hot tub and swimup bar. broken glass and puke all over the place. They would take over a restaurant as a group and sit and talk after eating for a couple of hours. I guess I'm old and cranky, but I've out grown the spring break mentality. I'm still gonna keep an eye out for bargains at Temptation (BTW-why do people that have been there before can't spell the name of the place? They want to make it plural.), but will probably choose a more adult acting place. Thank all of you for your input. Party on!
You should remember that one of the advantages of Tamptation is it's location. We enjoy the party time but don't need it for a week straight. At Tamptation it is easy to walk out the door and take the bus to shop or sightsee. The ferry to Isla is within walking distance. Use it as a base and take a couple of days outside and I believe you will have a great time.
