Wait... I'm confused.... You want to arrive Friday to the resort but not get your room till Saturday???? If you pick up your wrist bands on Friday, you are paying for a room for Friday night. Why not use it? If you are thinking night pass, well for two people it will probably cost more than booking a room for the night, so no savings there... I can see if you don't want to unpack Friday if you get a less than desirable room so you can switch on Saturday after some folks check out, but you can still use the bed and shower to your advantage. Well, since you put it like that. To be honest, I was more thinking there might be a cheap hotel (like the Comfort Inn) where you could crash for < $50, then check in to Temptations first thing Saturday morning (depending on when they allow check-ins to start). That was my original intent. Then I got to thinking, in a state of delirium, that I could show up to the hotel and skip the checkin, but stay in someone else's room. This, of course, is ludicrous, because they don't let people in off the street. We've booked it now though. Our flight sets down at 9:30 so I'm hoping we'll be at the hotel by 11, grab a few drinks at the Paty O and a late night snack then get a fresh start Saturday. Hopefully, it will help with the first day curse. Funny story: Our second time at Temptations, we were having our morning drinks and saying our goodbyes before we left for the airport. This wild and crazy woman came up to me and said, "You can't leave yet! I just got here! Well, I really came in last night, but have partied all night waiting for them to get my room ready." In my head, I heard: "If you party hard enough you can come in late, crash in someone else's room and not have to pay for the first day." But, I'm often delirious. She was also by herself so maybe she had purchased a "night pass" (didn't even know such things existed). And, everyone seemed to know her. Maybe that's the trick.
