Was wondering what the rate is from where the R1 bus ends (Tulum Ave/Lopez Portillo) to Gran Puerto?

    Thanks!

There are R1 buses that go all the way to Gran Puerto, but if you don't want to wait for one of those, I think it's 6 pesos for the vans

Thanks for the reply back ToriB. From what I understand the R1's to Gran Puerto are hard to come by. I just want to minimize my time and budget getting there.

We took an R1 from the Hotel Zone to Puerto Juarez/Gran Puerto. We waited about 40 minutes for the bus. So as you said, they are hard to come by. Though if you give yourself lots of time, you should be fine. I think the issue for us was that we just barely missed the bus thus the long wait for the next one.

Do I pay the 6 Pesos up front? Or do they collect it when they get me to the Puerto?
