Glad to hear it wasn't just us. Last year we went to pink elephant on the next block and it was much more of what we were looking for. Thanks for all the opinions.
Just a word of advice to the ladies. Two years ago when we went to Coco Bongo my girlfriend & I were picked to go up on stage with all the actors to dance in the acts. I was very drunk to say the least. So wasnt really on my A game. I noticed that every time the curtain would close for a new act the security was pulling us farther & farther away from where our group(& my husband) could see us. They started getting really handsy, grabbing our butts, boobs & one even tried to put his hand up my skirt! I finally made it back over to my hubby & told him what happened & we left shortly thereafter after filing a complaint. Im not knocking Coco Bongos Itself. We've been there 3 times love it & have had an awesome time each time! It is a great place that I think everyone should experience at least once. Just wanted to warn others of my experience with some of the entertainment security & to be careful of being anywhere away from your group out of sight. We arent really interested in going back again just because we've been there done that & would rather find a club more suited for dancing but overall Coco Bongos is a great & fun place if you've never been there!! Jess
Pink Elephant was great. Good booty shaking music. Hot girls to watch. Plenty of guys for the girls to dance with. Cages for the girls to dance in Good places to sit and people watch The house drink (the pink elephant) was a fav of all the ladies Crowded but not a mad house like coco bongo.
Had the same type thing happen to me at senior frogs and I'm a grandma! The times we have gone we where lucky enough to get the staff we knew then to get us a prime area to the right or left of the stage. But we dont go anymore unless we bring someone new. It is a great show! and worth seeing at least once. if you want to just dance skip going there it's more of a las vegas show type club .
Yup, my experience too, Jess! It's best to go backstage with 1 or 2 other ladies at the same time. But the couple of times when the security guys tried to get grabby (I've been backstage 4 or 5 times), I've just walked away and gone back to my group before even getting onstage. The staff did not try to prevent me from leaving the backstage area when I decided I wanted to go. Hey, I have 6-inch stilettos and I'm not afraid to use them! lol
