Just want to add my two cents. Whenever i went to Coco Bongo it was ridicolous packed! The so called VIP-Tickets by Hotels / Street-Vendors were not worth a bit. The After Dark VIP Package for Coco Bongo is a difference! It doesnt cost your firstborn son, its only 55USD. - Guaranteed NO-Wait-Entrance. Once you are in front of the Club you walk in. Period! - Guaranteed your own table! (If you are only 1-2 people you might be asked to share it with another Guest from After Dark) - "No-Greedy-Waiter-Guarantee" You tip when ever you want, how much you want! - Every Drink your group can handle is included!!! (Alc and non-alc). Served to your table by the waiters - After Dark Staff (bilingual American Staff) is with you ALL the time at the Club to ensure that you have an awesome experience. They even take pictures of your group for free, and sent them to you via Email! Downside: We can only offer you Coco Bongo with these Perks on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. And there is no transport included... Well hop on a Bus for an inexpensive 8.5 peso ride. (After Dark Staff can pick you up at the Hotel if you are unsure about how to take the Bus) My tip: If you already visited Coco Bongo, check out their website if they have a new show. Otherwise it might get a bit lame if you know the whole program.
The four times I've been to Coco Bongo, we bought the $55 tix sold around the Sexy Pool on the day of the show (Monday or Thursday is CB night at TTR). If you wait to buy until the evening, it's $65. The tic gets you the bus ride to CB, in the door almost right away, and a really jammed-tight spot in CB. My buddy Craig will slip the guy that takes you in a $20, and he takes us right down to the floor and the bullpen bar, and I dance up on the bar all night and have the best view of the show and the whole place (only ladies allowed on the bar). Down on the floor on either side of the bullpen bar provides a great view for Craig and he can catch me if I dance my self right off the bar heh heh. Don't let them put you behind or in front of the bullpen bar, as behind it you won't see anything because of the ladies dancing on the bar, and in front of it is too close to the stage (think front row of a movie theatre). Craig also gives the waiter assigned to our area 20 bucks at the outset, and we never have any trouble getting drinks. When you are dancing on the bar, the bartenders pass up anything you want to you whenever you ask. If you want to get a good spot on the tiered areas around the front of the room to watch the show (as opposed to being on the tiers near the back), you probably need to buy some kind of VIP package. The After Dark VIP package sounds like a good option.
This sounds great. Thanks for explaining it in detail. I hope we can convince others to do VIP on April 29 th. do they have tables and seats in VIP for groups of 4 or 6 or 8? Or all small 2 seaters? I want to experience the show / atmosphere but not the elbows / other peoples sweat.
I like to go on Mondays simply because most people from TTR go on Monday, not Thursday. And there is nothing much that happens on Monday nights at TTR, but Thursday is Lingerie Night. Went once on a Thursday and had to tear back to my room top speed after Nice Shoes to get out of my Lingerie and into a dress for CB. It's fun to hang out at Paty-O's in your gonchies. I was there on a Friday once and it was packed with locals and I felt kinda out of place, like I was crashing a private party. And I understand from reading the posts above that it's more expensive on Fridays and Saturdays. TTR does not organize trips to CB any days except Mon and Thurs.
I went two times on a Friday and Saturday there...because the line at The City were way too long.... Well, it was ridicolous packed. The last time it was on a Monday and it was a blast with the After Dark VIP Ticket. I really i like clubs with a party-crowd BUT if its more party than crowd.....:angrymad:
