Monday... Coco Bongo Tuesday... Cabana Beach Club Wednesday...Mandala Thursday.... Coco Bongo Friday... The City Saturday... DadyO's Sunday... Sweet
We went to coco bongo last year with the resort...the only way I will every go to a club is with the resort and it has its perk; transport to the club and vip access (they know what they are doing), we just took the bus back which was another experience took few pictures at the RIU (where we were actually staying , wife want to go to Coco Bongo this year again but I think its going to be the same show and if it is than it ruins the point of watching it again bcuz thats all you go their for...you can barely move in the crowd
We went to Coco Bongo when we were there in December. We went with a group of people that we met at the resort so I would recommend going with a group of people. We paid the girl at the resort (almost $100 each) and got the wristbands that included the ride to the club and unlimited drinks while there. The ride to the club was great but when we got there the section that was blocked off for us was smaller than our balcony in the room and this was for about 15 people. We were standing on tables, chairs, benches and the spots behind benches. It seemed pretty sketchy to us. We only got about 3 drinks each and the server stopped bringing them. When we left, you exit out into a mall where there are time shares everywhere so just keep going until you get to the street. When we got a taxi I made a deal with the driver how much to take us back...it was 400 pesos...no big deal. When we paid we gave 300 pesos, 20 American and 20 Canadian because everyone had different currency. When we got to the resort the driver kept asking for more money so one of our friends gave him the extra 20 and it was all good. I suppose this can happen anywhere at anytime so I'm not too worried about it. The show was cool to see and I am happy we went to check it out but I don't think we will being going back. It was just too packed in there for us. I would recommend checking it out just to say you did it. Next time if we want to check out a club I think we will just go on our own instead of going through the resort because I feel like we did not get as much as we were expecting for how much we paid. $100 for a few drinks is pricey but you are also there for the experience. Overall I would recommend going to see it for yourself....but maybe just have more drinks at Paty'Os before you leave! :daveandmo:
We've been to the clubs with the TTR group...it was fun, but just hate to miss a night away from Paty'Os. You may want to plan one night going with the TTR Entertainment staff and a few friends you've met...just for the experience. We figure that it's an easy drive from home to hit some clubs any other time during the year...but Paty'Os is such a unique place to party that we never leave the resort anymore.
At some of the smaller clubs on the strip you can haggle outside. There is an intersection that kind of looks like an alley right in the middle of the nightclub area. There will be guys trying to get you into the clubs. I know the 2 clubs right on the corner will eventually let you in for $20 for the guys and girls will be free with open bar.
Count us in for COCO BONGO'S on the 11th if that will work for you. We talked about going a couple years ago but didn't really know anyone else to go and hang with.
I am hoping there is a Boobs Cruise on the 11th. If that is the case, it might not be the best to try an go to the clubs that night. (obviously the 11th is just me wishful thinking. Last Sept it was great on the Monday because so many people in the group arrived Sat/Sun, then the cruise really got evenyone together early in the week)
