get a double expresso at the coffee bar and bring it to the lobby bar and ask them to make you an expresso martini. tastes great and perks you up
Any of my keto friendly fans plan on adding a small volume of carbs before they go? I was thinking of bumping to 100 grams day Feb1 so that I have a little in me. In my experience it just fills out my muscles, similar to a carb up pre-stage. Perhaps I only need a few days though, not 19 days as planned. Currently I run 10% of my daily, which is 79 grams max. I started my Keto October 21st and have been learning a long the way. I haven't done it since pre-contest 2010. I find even some simple things kick me out, like tomatoes for example. Something kicked me out in the last few days and I have to go back in my log and check (its been a bit sloppy) Seems I am carb sensitive (always knew it, but was in denial) Back on topic: Drinks are going to be simple for me, dark rum / diet something, vodka and water, and tequila shots (depending on which one) not sure what else if anything.
Those carb/insulin spikes are a good thing every now and again. Great for T3 production. Does 100g kick you out of ketosis?
I am running roughly 80 grams max a day now. I am one notch in, sometimes two Keto, according to my pee stick. I have one meal a week with 1 cup of rice. (usually Wednesday nights, 5:3 pm ish) 100 grams a day would most likely be OK, would be about 12% or so I need a bump in calories soon, Next week perhaps. I have started tracking all this week again to make sure that I am still on track and eating properly.
FYI, Once you're keto/fat adapted... The pee stick is no longer accurate as it only tests for presence of excess ketones in urine. When you become keto adapted, your body starts using them as fuel and they don't show up. So you can be in ketosis and not register on pee stick.
Oh, How does one know when your in keto, if the dam pee stick does not show me whats going on hehe. Dam pee stick. Im still low carb, or lower carb than I have ever been hehe. Down 8 pounds and 2 pant sizes.
