Cinco de Mayo

I Cinco de Mayo celegrated much in Cancun? Or is it more of an Amercanized holiday to sell avocados<

I thought it was an Americanized holiday to sell more tequila and cerveza! :lol:

 

we are having a huge party for it!! Cant wait...........

 

It's an American thang, you won't find much going on here. I'm sure some places with embrace the American culture (lol) but it's not really something to celebrate here. It's a day to remember the battle at Puebla so Puebla will have some events, but not really much going on in Cancun.

We were there last year, and never noticed a thing about Cinco......agree with CC and the rest. A day for americans to drink tequilla and eat at their favorite mexican restaurant!

 

Sounds like the distillers have learned from the florists how to create a holiday.

Thanks Karen. You help pay for our trips to Cancun.
I work on thr Fry's stores in Phoenix. Very very upscale. But we also translate a version into Spanish. I can speak grocery Spanish quite well :lol:
