I have been in that alley a number of times over the years. Several times there has been a large sweep by the policia. If you are not street wise then yes that alley can seem dangerous. I know I have been approched many times to buy drugs. One time I did have to get up in some guys face to get him away from me. Its really no surprise this happened. The policia better keep doing there sweeps or this will happen again.
The police tend to stay away from this road which means we do too. At night its very unpleasant. Cancun can be a great place without having to go near any danger spots. Tracey
Sad issue but not exclusive from Cancun, we had been aproach to buy drugs at many parts of the world, including does that use to have a clean reputation. I think the best advice I can give is: 1.- After 3 AM and beeing drinking; must of the men become hunters and the girls become deers. 2.- After 3 AM all Demons are trying to catch you. 3.- If we do not know the time to left a party night "on time" the party will give us many undesire and unpleasent surprises.
