I'd be interested to know as well. Either will be ok, preferably English though.

    Jen! Congrats girl, wow!!!

(original poster, sorry to hijack, lol)

When I was pg, I couldn't find a class in English but I know there are Spanish facilities. Tracey is your girl for this one, Miss Doula herself knows better than I do and I had my baby here!

    Hi
    re childbirth classes.
In Spanish you have 2 options.
One is contact Irma Alicia Irmaalicia@yahoo.com

Or a tradition midwife called Rachel 998 8876989.

In English I can give you private classes in your home. I have prepared many many couples for childbirth and attended over 50 births as a doula.

Be mindful of the fact that Cancun has an over 80% c section rate so if you want a natural birth you have to choose your cargivers carefully and be prepared to be very very assertive.

    Good Luck and congratulations.,
    Love
    Tracey

An 80% c-section rate is terrible!!!!

The natural childbirth classes I took were completely focused on how to do everything you can to avoid a c-section. A c-section is an emergency procedure, it's not supposed to be normal.

    Thank you thank you,
It's official, as of today I can no longer get into my work shorts!!
Tracy, thank you for the information. It does worry my that c sections are considered so normal here and it's something i'll be speaking to my doctor about on Wednesday.
