When I went, I didn't take a tour, but overheard a few folks telling people about the various parts of the location -- I have to assume they were tour guides. Is that basically what you get on a tour? Someone walking you around to the various parts and giving you the background of them? I hope I don't sound too silly asking such a simple question, I've just never been on one.
