Received my confirmation number from Fun n Sun by email last night. Probably will call Temptations just to check. So far everything looks on the level. Will keep everone posted if something changes. See you all on June 19th. ps. Are Cancun Care members still doing the orange wrist band thing?

I'm no Joe Friday but here's the facts (ma'am) that i've learned: I googled the number from the website: 888-481-9660. Apparently it's connected to IMS Vacations. I googled "IMS Vacations" The first page of search results showed plenty o'complaints about this outfit. I also googled "IMS Vacations Complaints" Please have a look and judge for yourselves. I'm all about Risk vs. Reward but not with my vacation moola. Alan
Most of the complaints listed are from 2010 on the Google search for IMS Here is their BBB report Consumer Complaints for IMS Vacations - Central Florida BBB they are out of Florida,,, 18 complaints in 3 years ,, draw your own conclusions but for a travel company that not too bad, still a sketchy looking website, The 60 day thing is what scares me,, they won't give you a confirmation # till 60 days before your booking,, is that cause they are holding onto your $$ till then ??If the hotel sells out 61 days before your booking are you out of a room ??? And their website portrays themselves as actually ''Being'' Temptations,, and not giving out their own nam Right now the savings is $70 @ night versus Orbitz Tuff decision.
For what it's worth: I talked to the hotel directly and they said everything was good on ours as well as the other 5 couples we are going with that booked for the same week. I will be there for Thanksgiving and will confirm face to face. I hope it's all good but at least I will be under my 60 days on the charge if there is an issue. Stay tuned and I will report what I find out when we get there.........................
Donald, I did notice nearly all complaints are years old. We booked today and they said we would have our confirmation within 3-10 business days. I'll let you know when we get it. Paul
There's ''their confirmation #'' and TTR 's confirmation # (2 different things) other people have reported not getting the TTR # until the 60 day mark I think your money is safe its the reservation I,m worried about especially if your going at a busy time. I called and they do add %17 on check out. VERY high pressure sale persons...Still a good price $116.30 @ night They could not upgrade the room.(even at a fee)
Chris and Tammy, I'm crossing my fingers all goes well for you, and I'm eagerly waiting for your report. We booked with them, received confirmation, called back a few days later and added a day with no problems. Double checked with TTR, and they have everything on file for us. We don't go until the end of March, so I guess I won't rest easy til we're there.
On a a side note. Looked at alpharooms last week and it was about $135 for the dates I wanted and just looked now and it's up to $179 per couple. But it was the same last year. Up and down. Just re looked, interesting... Dates 5/13-5/20 7 nites. $948 or $135 a nite Dates 5/9-5/19 10 nites. $1794 or $174 a nite. Very interesting......... Frank
